MQ Administrator

Job Summary

Working remotely on a contract basis, the MQ Administrator will manage IBM MQ administration and configuration, including queue manager creation and channel management, while ensuring message persistence and delivery guarantees.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and configure IBM MQ, including queue management and channel setup
• Monitor and troubleshoot performance, including queue depth and channel status
• Implement security measures such as SSL/TLS certificate management and message encryption

Required qualifications

• 5-10 years of MQ administration experience
• Proficiency in Unix/Linux and Windows Server administration
• Experience with shell scripting (bash, ksh, PowerShell)
• Familiarity with TCP/IP networking and security protocols
• Knowledge of related technologies like message brokers and cloud platforms
