Job Summary

Seeking an experienced MS SQL Database Administrator (DBA) contractor to work remotely, who will manage, maintain, and optimize Microsoft SQL Server environments, ensuring database performance, availability, security, and reliability while providing operational support and incident management.

Key responsibilities

• Administer, monitor, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases
• Manage and resolve database-related incidents, service requests, and escalations in a timely manner
• Implement and manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes

Required qualifications

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server
• Strong experience in production support and incident management environments
• Proficiency in T-SQL, query tuning, and performance optimization
• Experience supporting high availability and disaster recovery solutions
• Knowledge of SQL Server security standards
