Job Summary
Providing technical and analytical support, the part-time Multi-Hazard Anticipatory Action Framework Development Specialist will develop and finalize the National Multi-Hazard Agriculture Anticipatory Action Framework, focusing on enhancing agricultural resilience and food security for vulnerable farming communities in Sri Lanka.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct situational analysis and institutional mapping to identify gaps and opportunities for anticipatory action in agriculture
- Provide technical inputs for risk and vulnerability analysis, preparing sector-specific risk matrices and identifying priority areas for action
- Support the development of the National Anticipatory Action Framework, including drafting objectives, governance arrangements, and operational modalities
Required qualifications
- Advanced university degree in Agriculture, Climatology, Disaster Management, Social Sciences, or a related discipline
- At least six years of relevant experience in agriculture, climatology, disaster management, or social sciences
- Working knowledge of English and Sinhala and/or Tamil
- National of Sri Lanka or resident with a valid work permit
- Demonstrated experience in coordinating multi-stakeholder consultations and familiarity with UN operational procedures
