Multi-State Accounting Manager

Job Summary

To support a growing SaaS company, the full-time remote Multi-State Accounting Manager will oversee payroll processing, multi-state compliance, and billing operations while ensuring accuracy and efficiency across financial functions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end payroll processing, including tax registrations and compliance across multiple states
• Ensure accurate billing operations and maintain timely accounts receivable and payable cycles
• Develop and document scalable accounting processes to enhance operational efficiency

Required qualifications

• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience with a focus on payroll and billing operations
• Hands-on experience with multi-state payroll processing and sales tax compliance
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and familiarity with automation and system integrations
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA is a plus
• Strong process orientation and ability to operate independently with minimal oversight
