Multi-State HR Director

Job Summary

Seeking a part-time Director of Human Resources, the successful candidate will manage HR policies, ensure multi-state compliance, and address employee relations for a growing remote team, dedicating 5-10 hours per week to this hands-on role.

Key responsibilities

• Review, update, and maintain the employee handbook and HR policies for compliance across multiple states
• Monitor and advise on employment law requirements and recommend necessary policy changes
• Serve as a point of contact for employee complaints and conflicts, providing guidance and support to leadership

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive HR experience with multi-state employment compliance
• Experience with ADP, particularly ADP PEO (TotalSource or similar), is strongly preferred
• Solid knowledge of federal employment law and familiarity with state law variances
• Experience handling employee relations matters with sound judgment and discretion
• SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR certification preferred but not required
