Job Summary

Owning the end-to-end payroll cycle across multiple states, the full-time remote Payroll/HRIS Specialist will manage payroll operations, maintain HRIS data integrity, and ensure compliance with regulatory obligations while supporting employee and manager inquiries.

Key responsibilities
  • Run multi-state payroll, ensuring accurate wage calculations and compliance across 8+ states
  • Manage HRIS, including employee data, onboarding/offboarding workflows, and organizational changes
  • Track and manage compliance for business licenses, health permits, and other regulatory obligations across kitchen locations
Required qualifications
  • 2 to 4 years of experience in payroll, HRIS administration, or people operations
  • Strong skills in Excel or Google Sheets, particularly with formulas and large datasets
  • Degree in HR, business, accounting, or a related field
  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities
