Job Summary
A company is looking for a People Operations Manager to lead the operational backbone of their People function.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end payroll processing and benefits administration, ensuring compliance with wage and hour laws
- Manage multi-state tax registrations and HRIS platform, driving system improvements and reporting
- Directly manage a team, fostering a culture of accuracy and continuous improvement while partnering with leadership on operational strategy
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of HR operations or payroll/benefits experience, with at least 2 years in a management role
- Experience managing multi-state payroll and employment compliance, preferably in 20+ states
- Deep knowledge of federal and state wage and hour laws, benefits regulations, and employment tax requirements
- Hands-on HRIS experience, with a strong preference for familiarity with Rippling
- Proven track record of building or improving people operations infrastructure in a high-growth organization
