Job Summary
Managing and creating social media content, the full-time Multimedia Communications Coordinator II will oversee the editorial calendar for NASA Science Mission Directorate accounts, develop engaging posts, and execute campaigns to enhance visibility and audience engagement while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the editorial calendar for NASA Science Mission Directorate social media accounts, ensuring timely and strategic content delivery
- Develop, write, edit, and publish daily social media content, maintaining NASA voice standards and scientific accuracy
- Create and execute social media campaigns leveraging key NASA events and scientific discoveries to drive engagement
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, marketing, multimedia production, or a related field
- Minimum of five years of professional experience in digital or social media communications, particularly in a science or government environment
- Proven ability to manage complex editorial calendars for large organizations
- Experience translating technical or scientific information into engaging social media content
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office 365 applications
