Multispecialty Medical Coding Specialist II

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Multispecialty Medical Coding Specialist II.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review operative reports and apply CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM codes
• Provide coding for Level 2 and some Level 3 procedures, as well as pro fee surgical encounters
• Participate in ongoing coding education and escalate coding/documentation problems when necessary

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Coding certification through AAPC or AHIMA
• 2 years outpatient surgical coding experience
• 2 years of Ambulatory Surgical Center coding experience
• Extensive knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
