MySQL Database Administrator

Job Summary

Owning the health and performance of databases, the full-time MySQL Database Administrator will manage schema design, monitor performance, and support database operations remotely while collaborating with Engineering and QA teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage DBA responsibilities for assigned product lines, including schema design and user management
• Monitor and tune database performance across production and development environments
• Handle backup, recovery, and failover clustering setups to ensure system availability

Required qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience with MySQL, AWS Aurora, or SQL Server
• Proficiency with at least 2 cloud database technologies
• Ability to read and analyze query execution plans for performance diagnostics
• Experience in managing multiple priorities independently
• Availability for on-call rotation, including nights and weekends
