Job Summary

Seeking an ambitious National Correspondent, Immigration, this full-time remote position will lead coverage of immigration issues, producing impactful daily and enterprise reporting that highlights the effects of immigration policies across the U.S.

Key responsibilities
  • Report and write high-impact stories on immigration enforcement and its impact on communities, families, and institutions
  • Develop and maintain a robust network of sources, including government officials and community leaders
  • Break exclusive news and respond rapidly to developments in immigration policy
Required qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in journalism or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • At least five years of experience in journalism, with a focus on complex beats such as immigration or politics
  • Demonstrated ability to cultivate sources and produce exclusive, deeply sourced stories
  • Fluency in Spanish, with the ability to conduct interviews and review documents in the language
  • Exceptional writing skills and strong news judgment to engage a national audience
