National Mid-Term Review Specialist

Job Summary

To support the implementation of the Mid-Term Review for the STAR-FARM project, the part-time National Mid-Term Review Specialist will conduct assessments, provide strategic recommendations, and collaborate with an international team to evaluate project progress and outcomes, all while working remotely for a duration of 35 working days.

Key responsibilities

• Review project documentation and contribute to the preparation of the inception report and data-collection tools
• Support primary data collection through interviews and virtual meetings with relevant stakeholders
• Analyze evidence collected during the MTR process and contribute to the formulation of conclusions and recommendations

Required qualifications

• Advanced degree in Development studies, Agribusiness, Agricultural Economics, Agriculture, Rural Development, or related fields
• Minimum 6 years of experience in evaluating international development projects, preferably EU-funded or FAO-implemented projects in the Mekong Delta
• Working knowledge of English and Vietnamese (written and spoken)
• National of Vietnam or resident with a valid work permit
• Strong knowledge of evaluation methodologies and solid understanding of value chains and economics
