Job Summary

Driving editorial strategy and managing a team, the full-time National Political Editor will oversee COURIER National's newsletter, social, and video/audio products while ensuring integration of key narratives and original reporting in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with leadership to set editorial strategy and core narratives across COURIER National products
• Manage the D.C. Bureau team and oversee newsletter contributors to enhance content focus and subscriber engagement
• Lead outreach and partnerships with mission-aligned organizations to support growth and engagement goals

Required qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in online news media in a reporting and/or news editor position
• Strong background in political journalism and/or progressive media
• Knowledge of journalism standards, ethics, and best practices in social media content creation
• Existing network of political leaders, media outlets, and organizations for collaboration
• Familiarity with current events and trends in Washington, D.C., and key states across the country
