National Retail Underwriting Manager

Job Summary

A company is looking for a National Retail Underwriting Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the underwriting function and ensure quality meets company and investor standards
• Oversee mortgage pipeline management and provide guidance on complex mortgage matters
• Lead personnel management activities including hiring, training, and performance development

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of experience in mortgage process and underwriting, including 4 years in management, or
• High School Diploma or GED with 12 years of experience in mortgage process and underwriting, including 4 years in management
• Experience leading a team of mortgage underwriters
• Current knowledge of FNMA/FHLMC, FHA, USDA, VA, and Portfolio Lending
• Proficient in Encompass, Excel, and Word
