Job Summary
To support cancer case management, the full-time remote Nationally Certified Oncology Data Specialist will abstract newly diagnosed cancer cases, perform quality control on data, and respond to data inquiries while maintaining database records and submitting reports to registries.
Key responsibilities
- Abstract newly diagnosed cancer cases and assist with case identification
- Perform quality control procedures on data and maintain accurate database records
- Respond to data inquiries and submit reports to state and/or central registries
Required qualifications
- Completion of a college-level curriculum in Cancer Data Management or equivalent education/experience
- National Oncology Data Specialist certification from the National Cancer Registrars Association upon hire
