Job Summary
To support cancer case management, the full-time Nationally Certified Oncology Data Specialist will abstract newly diagnosed cancer cases, assist with case identification, and perform quality control procedures on data in a remote role.
Key responsibilities
- Abstract newly diagnosed cancer cases and assist with case identification
- Perform quality control procedures to ensure data accuracy
- Collaborate with clinical teams to enhance cancer data management processes
Required qualifications
- College level curriculum in cancer data management or equivalent education/experience
- National Oncology Data Specialist certification from the National Cancer Registrars Association upon hire
- Experience abstracting newly diagnosed cancer cases
- Familiarity with Cancer Registry software, such as ONCOLog
- Experience working in an ACoS approved Cancer Registry
