NATO SECRET Software Engineer

Job Summary

To deliver the Military Text Format (MTF) message monitoring application, the remote, part-time NATO SECRET Software Engineer will manage the design, development, integration, and deployment of the application, ensuring compliance with security standards and effective user interface solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop the overall system architecture, including backend services and frontend components for user interaction
• Integrate the application with Microsoft Exchange and implement authentication and authorization mechanisms
• Produce and maintain comprehensive documentation and perform testing to ensure compliance with security and performance requirements

Required qualifications

• Active NATO SECRET security clearance
• Proven expertise in designing and delivering secure, enterprise-grade web applications
• Strong experience in backend development using Java and frontend development using React
• Familiarity with database design using PostgreSQL and integration with Microsoft Exchange
• Experience with DevOps tools, including Amazon Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipeline creation
