Job Summary
To support the Multinational Collaboration of 5G (MN5G) Project, a NATO SECRET Technical Consultant will provide remote consultative support for the development of Next Generation Networks (NGN) and Secure Communications architecture, including drafting a 5G white paper and updating military readiness assessments, from ASAP until 31 March 2027.
Key responsibilities
- Providing consultative support for the development of an NGN Comms Architecture Study, including requirement analysis and architecture options
- Drafting a 5G white paper and updating the previous 5G readiness assessment for military applications
- Delivering presentations of findings to the MN5G Project Board and contributing to the review of Network Management and Cyber Defense (NMCD) standards
Required qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Communication and Information Systems (CIS) engineering and design, particularly with 5G networks
- Proven experience in system architecture and design, including Enterprise and Capability architecture
- Knowledge of military CIS systems and relevant frameworks for large CIS networks
- Experience in designing readiness assessments and maturity models for technology adoption
- Familiarity with international, commercial, and industrial standards related to CIS
