Job Summary

A digital sports media company is seeking an NBA Senior Managing Editor.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a team of reporters and oversee news delivery and team analysis
• Create a long-term vision for the NBA desk, including story ideas, editorial platforms, and expansion opportunities
• Balance content assignments, from short-form news to long-form projects, and maintain a distinctive voice in digital media products

Required Qualifications:

• 10+ years of digital sports journalism experience, including 5+ years of editorial and personnel management
• Expert ability to mentor writers and generate story ideas that drive engagement and growth
• Strong understanding of editing tasks and the ability to add context, structure, and fairness to stories
• High-end knowledge of the National Basketball Association and professional basketball
• Based in the United States or Canada
