NC Licensed Inside Claims Representative

Job Summary

To support the Casualty Claims Division, the full-time NC Licensed Inside Claims Representative will handle liability and property claims remotely, ensuring compliance with insurance laws while investigating, adjudicating, and negotiating claims.

Key responsibilities

• Investigates and adjudicates claims, verifying coverage and maintaining reserves while documenting claim files
• Establishes contact with all parties involved in claims and evaluates negotiation opportunities for settlement
• Responds to inquiries from policyholders, agents, and other stakeholders, while maintaining knowledge of relevant laws and regulations

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with two years of related claims handling or customer service experience
• Successful completion of Introduction to Insurance (INTRO) and Introduction to Claims (AIC 30) preferred
• Ability to obtain required state licenses within 45 days of employment
• Bachelor's or Associate's degree preferred
