Job Summary

A company is looking for an Advanced Underwriter to join their team.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and process life insurance applications, determining insurability and risk acceptance
• Communicate with various stakeholders to gather information and discuss underwriting actions
• Analyze decisions on inforce certificates and assist in training and evaluating lower-level underwriters

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• High School diploma or equivalent; college degree in a related field preferred
• Three to five years of experience in the medical field or as an underwriter
• Knowledge of medical terminology and disorders relevant to life insurance
• Completion of LOMA 280, 290, 311, ALU 101, and EKG class preferred
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and provide constructive feedback
