Nebraska Licensed Claims Examiner

Job Summary

Focused on investigating, evaluating, and resolving property damage and bodily injury claims, the full-time Nebraska Licensed Claims Examiner will negotiate settlements, analyze coverage, and manage claims processes while working either onsite in Omaha, NE or remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate assigned claims, gather necessary documentation, and communicate with involved parties to evaluate and resolve claims
• Analyze insurance contracts to determine rights and obligations of the company and stakeholders, coordinating with the Legal Department as needed
• Establish case reserves, negotiate settlements, and maintain accurate records of communications and claim files

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
• Three or more years of related work experience in claims examination
• Knowledge of insurance claim procedures and loss evaluation methods
• Ability to interpret and apply insurance contracts
• Licensure as a Nebraska Claims Examiner or the ability to obtain it
