Nebraska Licensed Nurse Consultant

Job Summary

Seeking a remote, full-time Nebraska Licensed Nurse Consultant, this position will review and analyze medical information for disability claims, acting as a clinical resource for claims professionals while managing a caseload and providing guidance on medical management.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate medical information to clarify diagnoses and assess the severity of medical conditions
• Provide coaching to claims professionals regarding medical management and ongoing impairment evaluations
• Collaborate with Vocational Rehabilitation Coordinators to support return-to-work services

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's)
• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in Nebraska
• Ability to interpret medical documents and communicate clinical opinions effectively
• Experience in clinical nursing, preferably in Emergency Room, Critical Care, or Orthopedics
• Previous experience in Disability Management or related fields is preferred
