Job Summary
To provide comprehensive palliative care, the part-time Nebraska Licensed Nurse Practitioner will work remotely, managing patient symptoms, coordinating care with healthcare teams, and developing treatment plans across various settings including homes and outpatient clinics.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver palliative care in collaboration with physicians, ensuring compliance with established protocols and guidelines
- Conduct medical assessments and document treatment plans, coordinating with healthcare professionals and referral sources
- Educate patients and families about disease management and treatment options while maintaining compliance with medical record documentation and HIPAA guidelines
Required qualifications
- One (1+) year experience as a Nurse Practitioner, or three (3+) years as a Registered Nurse in geriatric, hospice, or palliative care
- Master's Degree or higher in Nursing
- Licensed Nurse Practitioner in Nebraska
- Certification as a Nurse Practitioner by AANP or ANCC
- Current CPR certification
