Job Summary

Serving as a trusted legal advisor, the full-time Nebraska Licensed Senior Attorney will support Group Insurance by providing specialized legal guidance on absence management, disability, and leave programs while collaborating with business leaders and cross-functional teams in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide practical legal counsel to Group Insurance leaders, aligning with strategic and operational business objectives
• Advise on absence management and disability-related matters, ensuring compliance with federal and state laws and regulations
• Manage relationships with outside counsel, overseeing case strategy and effectiveness while mitigating legal and regulatory risks

Required qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school and a license to practice law in Nebraska
• Significant legal experience in regulatory, contractual, and administrative matters, preferably in the insurance or financial services sector
• Demonstrated ability to influence leaders and build strong relationships across various levels of an organization
• Strong strategic thinking and business acumen with a proven track record of developing practical solutions
• Ability to work remotely with access to a high-speed internet connection, located in the United States or Puerto Rico
