Nebraska Licensed Senior Medical Director

Job Summary

Providing strategic and operational leadership for utilization management programs, the full-time Nebraska Licensed Senior Medical Director will oversee clinical leadership, medical decision-making, and stakeholder engagement while working remotely and occasionally visiting the Omaha office for strategic meetings.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead clinical leadership for utilization management programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals
• Oversee complex utilization review cases and ensure evidence-based application of clinical guidelines
• Act as a liaison to network providers and engage in cross-functional leadership forums to enhance quality improvement

Required Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
• Board Certified by an American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) board
• Preferred current, unrestricted medical license in Nebraska, or verification of attainment within 6 months of start
• 10+ years of combined clinical practice and health care industry experience
• Demonstrated experience in utilization management and medical necessity review
