Job Summary

Seeking a Nebraska Licensed Senior Underwriter, the full-time remote Sr. Underwriting Consultant will independently evaluate complex individual life insurance cases, provide mentorship to junior underwriters, and manage high-volume caseloads while balancing risk assessment and customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Underwrite complex individual life insurance cases with face amounts typically above $5M
• Analyze medical, financial, and non-medical information to make timely underwriting decisions
• Provide second signature support and guidance to junior underwriters while partnering with internal sales teams

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 10 years in life insurance underwriting
• Proven ability to underwrite large and complex cases, including impaired risks
• Experience within the independent agent/brokerage (BGA) distribution channel
• Demonstrated decision-making authority on higher face amounts and complex risk profiles
