Nebraska Licensed Underwriting Consultant

Job Summary

Seeking a Nebraska Licensed Underwriting Consultant, the full-time remote position will independently evaluate complex individual life insurance cases, including impaired risks, while maintaining strong relationships with internal partners and key distributors.

Key Responsibilities

• Underwrite individual life insurance cases with an independent approval authority of up to $3 million
• Analyze medical, financial, and non-medical information to make informed underwriting decisions
• Communicate underwriting decisions clearly to internal and external customers while managing an assigned caseload

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 6 years of life insurance underwriting experience
• Proven ability to underwrite large and complex cases, including impaired risks
• Experience within the independent agent/brokerage distribution channel
• Demonstrated decision-making authority on higher face amounts and complex risk profiles
