Negotiation Specialist

Job Summary

Providing real-time support to Operations, the full-time remote Negotiation Specialist will negotiate agreements with providers, recruit out-of-network providers, and ensure compliance with established guidelines to secure timely services for referrals.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct negotiations with out-of-network and in-network providers for referrals, executing short-term agreements as necessary
• Locate and communicate effectively with out-of-network providers to meet operational needs and submit viable candidates for contracting
• Ensure proper documentation and compliance related to Single Referral Agreements and maintain clear communication with service providers

Required qualifications

• Associate's degree or 1-2 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
• Proficiency in negotiation and financial acumen, including the ability to calculate margins based on pricing
• General knowledge of the workers' compensation industry and negotiation principles
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate professionally
• Strong computer navigation skills and the ability to operate independently on confidential tasks
