Nephrologist Utilization Review

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Remote Nephrologist for Utilization Review as an Independent Contractor (1099).

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct prior authorization reviews for treatment using nationally accepted medical guidelines
• Provide expert, unbiased assessments while ensuring compliance with ERISA/DOL and state regulations
• Work flexibly, completing cases that typically take 30-60 minutes, with a commitment of 1-2 hours per week

Required Qualifications

• Must be an MD or DO
• Must be Board Certified in Nephrology
• Must have 5 years of patient care experience, including residency
• Must hold an unrestricted state medical license in Minnesota, Maryland, New Mexico, Texas, or Virginia
• Must be a US Citizen or hold a Green Card
