Job Summary
To ensure compliance with engineering standards for joint-use projects, the part-time contract NESC Compliant QC Engineer will review pole attachment applications, verify adherence to utility specifications, and collaborate with the Lead QC Reviewer to address any discrepancies in vendor submissions while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct thorough reviews of pole attachment applications to ensure compliance with engineering standards and utility requirements
- Verify adherence to utility specifications, NESC, and other industry standards regarding pole attachments and equipment placements
- Collaborate with the Lead QC Reviewer to escalate issues and maintain detailed documentation of the review process
Required qualifications
- Minimum of three years of experience in quality control, utility joint-use, or engineering review processes
- Strong understanding of joint-use pole attachment standards and utility engineering specifications
- Familiarity with NESC and other relevant industry standards
- Proven ability to identify and resolve non-compliance issues in engineering submissions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with vendors and internal teams
