Job Summary
To support the Federal Prison Industries (UNICOR), the full-time Network Administrator will design, administer, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure and connectivity services in a hybrid remote work model, ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of network systems across multiple locations.
Key responsibilities
- Install, configure, administer, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues affecting users and systems
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement network security controls and assist with compliance initiatives
Required qualifications
- 7+ years of networking experience
- CompTIA Network+ certification or Cisco CCNA certification (can substitute for 2 or 3 years of experience, respectively)
- Experience in enterprise network administration, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP
- Proficiency in LAN/WAN technologies and network troubleshooting
- Familiarity with Microsoft Windows Server environments and Active Directory
