Network Administrator

Job Summary

Managing an organization's network infrastructure, the contract Network Administrator will ensure security, performance, and reliability while working remotely and focusing on Palo Alto firewalls and related technologies.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain Palo Alto firewalls, including upgrades, patches, and configurations
• Convert layer 4 rules to layer 7 using userID and appID while creating custom appIDs
• Utilize network monitoring tools to ensure optimal network performance and security

Required qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience managing Palo Alto firewalls
• Knowledge of IaaS environments and Checkpoint firewalls preferred
• Proficiency in networking protocols and devices
• Experience with firewalls, routers, and VPNs
• Ability to leverage Python scripts for task automation preferred
