Network and Computer System Administrator

Job Summary

Supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs, the full-time Network and Computer System Administrator will administer, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise infrastructure, including Microsoft Windows Server environments and network systems, while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and support Microsoft Windows Server environments, including cloud and on-premises infrastructure
• Monitor system health and performance using enterprise tools, ensuring high availability of applications and services
• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams and stakeholders to implement security controls and manage infrastructure enhancements

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience
• 8 to 15 years of experience in administering enterprise Windows server infrastructure and IT operations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Windows Server environments, including Active Directory and virtualization
• Experience with enterprise monitoring tools such as Dynatrace or Splunk
• Familiarity with Jira or a comparable Agile development management tool
