Job Summary
Working remotely, the full-time Network and Cybersecurity Specialist will provide infrastructure support for NIH NIAID projects, focusing on technical analysis, system design, and implementation of cybersecurity measures in response to evolving technologies and regulatory changes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical knowledge and analysis for specialized applications and operational environments, focusing on systems analysis, design, integration, and documentation
- Apply advanced mathematical principles and methods to solve complex technical problems in engineering and scientific applications
- Assist senior consultants with system improvements and recommendations in areas such as information systems architecture, networking, and risk management
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of experience in IT infrastructure, systems, and applications support
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field
- Active Public Trust or higher security clearance
- Relevant certifications such as PMP, ITIL v4 Foundation, Security+, or CompTIA
- Demonstrated expertise in database management and various operating systems (Windows, Linux) and programming languages (Java, Python, SQL)
