Job Summary
Providing implementation and operational support for secure network infrastructure, the full-time Network Engineer will work remotely to manage Cisco-based network systems, ensuring compliance with Zero Trust principles and federal cybersecurity standards.
Key responsibilities
- Support the implementation, operation, and optimization of Cisco-based network infrastructure, including core, distribution, and edge layers
- Implement and maintain network security controls aligned with NIST SP 800-53 and NIST SP 800-207 Zero Trust Architecture
- Conduct continuous monitoring and vulnerability assessments of network infrastructure, coordinating remediation efforts in alignment with NIST RMF
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience and certifications
- Professional certifications in network engineering or cybersecurity, maintained for a minimum of 5 years
- Experience implementing NIST SP 800-53 and NIST SP 800-207 Zero Trust Architecture in enterprise environments
- Proficiency with Cisco routing, switching, and firewall platforms, including hands-on experience with VLANs, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs
- 3+ years of enterprise network engineering experience
