Network Engineer Associate

Job Summary

Supporting LAN/WAN service availability, the remote Network Engineer Associate will handle operational sustainment, troubleshooting, hardware/software upgrades, and network security tasks under the direction of senior engineers on a contracted basis.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production to ensure service availability for DHA LAN/WLAN/WAN networks
• Coordinate with Network Specialists on hardware and software upgrades and implement approved changes
• Support network security barrier systems and use diagnostics to isolate and address network issues

Required qualifications

• DoD 8570.01 / 8570.01-M compliance at IAM Level II or equivalent
• Security+ and CCNA or equivalent network architecture certification
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline plus three years of related experience, or certified technical/vocational school plus five years of related experience
• Proficiency in TCP/IP and various networking protocols and standards
• Experience with network testing tools and environments, including Microsoft OS and Cisco Systems
