Network Engineer II - Optical

Job Summary

To support the existing DWDM network, the full-time Network Engineer II - Optical will design, implement, and manage capacity fulfillment while effectively communicating with internal teams and meeting performance targets in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement DWDM network solutions while creating Engineering Design Packages for Operations personnel
• Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure timely delivery of service requirements and maintain customer commitments in the database
• Provide support to field operations, resolve provisioning issues, and manage workload to prioritize critical tasks effectively

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience
• Minimum of three years of telecommunications and/or data networking experience
• Working knowledge of optical systems and signal flow designs using ROADM technology
• Familiarity with optical products such as Fuji, Adva, Ciena, and Cisco
• Experience with project management software and Microsoft Office or Google programs, specifically Visio and Excel
