Network Engineer II - Optical

Job Summary

Designing and implementing capacity on the existing DWDM network, the full-time Network Engineer II - Optical will manage link engineering, communicate with internal teams, and ensure performance targets are met while working remotely.

Key responsibilities:

• Design and fulfill capacity requests across U.S. and Canadian networks while collaborating with project managers
• Create Engineering Design Packages for DWDM network implementations and provide updates on service deliverables
• Support field operations in resolving provisioning issues and maintain customer commitments within the database

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience
• Minimum of three years of telecommunications or data networking experience
• Working knowledge of optical systems and signal flow designs using ROADM technology
• Familiarity with optical products such as Fuji, Adva, Ciena, and others
• Experience with project management software and Microsoft Office or Google programs
