Network Engineer II - Optical

Job Summary

Designing and implementing new capacity on the existing DWDM network, the full-time salaried Network Engineer II - Optical will manage link engineering, communicate progress with internal teams, and ensure performance targets are met.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement DWDM network solutions, creating Engineering Design Packages for operations
• Collaborate with Project Managers to meet service requirements and provide timely updates on project deliverables
• Support field operations by resolving provisioning issues and maintaining customer commitments in the database

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience
• Minimum of three years of telecommunications and/or data networking experience
• Working knowledge of optical systems and signal flow designs using ROADM technology
• Familiarity with optical products such as Fuji, Adva, Ciena, and Cisco
• Experience with project management software and Microsoft Office or Google programs
