Network Engineer III

Job Summary

Seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer III, the full-time position will focus on delivering design, upgrade, and implementation projects using Extreme Networks technologies in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead customer installations and configurations, creating High-Level and Low-Level Designs
• Serve as the networking technical lead on customer projects, designing and troubleshooting Extreme Networks technologies
• Build templates for automation of equipment roll-outs and provide third-level support for Tech Support engineers

Required qualifications

• 7-10 years of experience in field support, professional services, or technical support roles
• Heavy experience with Juniper routers and switches, including migrations from VPLS to EVPN
• Strong knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 routing protocols such as MPLS, EVPN, VXLAN, BGP, and OSPF
• Ability to use scripting for configuring networking devices
• Data Center routing and switching experience is required
