Network Engineer III - Optical

Job Summary

Designing and implementing capacity on the existing DWDM network, the full-time salaried Network Engineer III - Optical will manage design planning, collaborate with internal teams, and ensure project deadlines are met across the U.S. and Canada.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement capacity fulfillment for the DWDM network while maintaining customer commitments
• Collaborate with Project Managers and Engineers to address issues during capacity projects
• Provide support to field operations and maintain project status updates in the database

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 5 years of telecommunications and optical experience
• Working knowledge of optical systems and signal flow designs using ROADM technology
• Familiarity with products such as Fuji, Adva, Ciena, and Cisco
• Experience with project management software and telecom inventory systems
