Job Summary
Supporting the National Institutes of Health (NIH) remotely, the full-time Network Engineer with Public Trust will design, implement, and maintain secure enterprise network infrastructure while ensuring compliance with cybersecurity standards.
Key responsibilities
- Design and maintain secure enterprise network infrastructure supporting NIH/OD systems
- Engineer highly available network architectures for mission-critical cybersecurity operations
- Implement secure network segmentation and manage enterprise-class firewalls and IDS/IPS technologies
Required qualifications
- Public Trust Clearance or ability to obtain one
- B.S. in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in designing and supporting enterprise network infrastructure
- Experience with enterprise routing, switching platforms, and secure cloud networking
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VPNs, and secure network protocols
