Job Summary
To support government clients, the remote Network Engineer with Public Trust will conduct comprehensive network assessments, design modernized network architectures, and develop compliance documentation while ensuring proper integration of network devices.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of existing networks, analyzing configurations, traffic patterns, and security measures
- Design and implement modernized network architectures incorporating centralized logging and intrusion detection systems
- Develop compliance documentation, policies, and procedures related to network engineering and advise on network device procurement and integration
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering
- Proven expertise in network security best practices and regulatory compliance standards (NERC-CIP, FISMA, NIST SP 800 series)
- Experience in conducting network assessments and capacity planning
- Familiarity with change management processes and network monitoring tools
