Job Summary
Supporting the Department of Defense's LAN/WAN capabilities, the contracted Referral Network Engineer will provide operational and sustainment support, troubleshoot complex network issues, and implement hardware and software upgrades in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Manage daily operational support for DHA LAN/WLAN/WAN networks and troubleshoot production issues
- Plan, install, and support hardware and software upgrades while implementing enterprise changes under approved standards
- Utilize tools like SolarWinds, ARMIS, and Ansible to address network and routing issues and ensure network security
Required qualifications
- DoD 8570.01 / 8570.01-M compliance at IAM Level II or equivalent
- Security+ and CCNA or equivalent network architecture certification
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline plus five years of related experience, or a technical/vocational school certification plus eight years of experience
- Proficiency in TCP/IP, HTTP, HTTPS, SNMP, DNS, DHCP, and various networking protocols and standards
- Experience with network testing tools and environments, including Microsoft OS and Cisco Systems
