Network Engineering Manager
Job Summary
Leading a team of network engineers, the full-time remote Network Engineering Manager will optimize and evolve backbone and cloud network infrastructure, drive technical roadmaps, and collaborate with internal and external partners to enhance service delivery.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead initiatives to scale IP and Optical backbone while ensuring network consistency and stability
- Drive the technical roadmap and cloud connectivity strategy, including budget management
- Engage with vendors to validate new designs and lead post-mortem discussions on network issues
Required qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in multi-vendor hyper-scale IP and Optical backbone networks
- Proven track record in managing global engineering teams with minimal supervision
- Expertise in backbone networking technologies and protocols such as DWDM and MPLS
- Experience with network automation using scripts or frameworks like Ansible and Terraform
- Eligibility for CJIS clearance requiring U.S. citizenship or Green Card status
