Network Infrastructure Design Technician

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Network Infrastructure Design Technician to support internal network order fulfillment and circuit design in a remote capacity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and redesign Layer 1 circuit layout records within TIRKS for various telecom technologies
• Resolve inventory discrepancies and maintain network infrastructure records across applicable applications
• Collaborate with Planning and Engineering teams to build and provision equipment and infrastructure circuits

Required Qualifications:

• Hands-on knowledge of optical networking equipment such as Ciena, Fujitsu, and Alcatel/Lucent
• Experience with telecommunications inventory systems including TIRKS, OMNIvue, and WMS
• Strong technical understanding of voice, data, and Ethernet products
• Ability to work across both legacy and next generation design systems
• Commitment to continuous learning and skill development through formal and on-the-job training
