Network Infrastructure Design Technician

Job Summary

Network Infrastructure Design Technician, responsible for supporting internal network order fulfillment and circuit design in a remote, contract position with a focus on Layer 1 transport technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Designing and maintaining Layer 1 circuit layout records across various telecom technologies
• Resolving inventory discrepancies and collaborating with Planning and Engineering teams for infrastructure support
• Managing an assigned order queue while ensuring compliance with SLAs and quality standards

Required Qualifications

• Hands-on knowledge of optical networking equipment such as Ciena, Fujitsu, and Alcatel/Lucent
• Experience with telecommunications inventory systems including TIRKS and OMNIvue
• Strong technical understanding of voice, data, and Ethernet products
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
• Commitment to continuous learning and skill development
