Network Infrastructure Design Technician

Job Summary

Network Infrastructure Design Technician, a contract position working remotely, is responsible for designing circuit layouts, maintaining network inventory, and supporting provisioning activities in a complex telecommunications environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Designing and redesigning Layer 1 circuit layout records within TIRKS
• Resolving inventory discrepancies and collaborating with Planning and Engineering teams
• Maintaining network infrastructure records and managing an assigned order queue

Required Qualifications

• Hands-on knowledge of optical networking equipment such as Ciena, Fujitsu, and Alcatel/Lucent
• Experience with telecommunications inventory systems including TIRKS and OMNIvue
• Technical understanding of voice, data, and Ethernet products
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
• Commitment to continuous learning and skill development
