Job Summary
Leading a remote team of migration engineers, the contracted Network Migration Architect will manage overnight cutovers, ensuring the replacement of legacy Cisco and Juniper hardware while diagnosing and resolving issues in real-time during the 11:00 PM to 8:00 AM CST shift.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee the end-to-end cut window for a team of 7 to 8 engineers, maintaining order and managing escalations
- Author and validate Method of Procedures (MOPs) to ensure alignment with target designs and device states
- Guide onsite personnel through technical issues over the phone, ensuring effective communication and resolution of physical errors
Required qualifications
- Active CCIE or equivalent Juniper expert level certification (JNCIE) without any lapses or in-progress status
- Architect-level expertise in Cisco IOS, IOS XE, Nexus platforms, and Juniper Junos
- Proven experience leading teams through live change windows in a cutover or migration context
- Hands-on experience with MOP authoring and cable matrix creation
- Ability to effectively communicate and guide non-network personnel through troubleshooting processes
